Nature’s Whispers
In the heart of a quiet, sleeping town,
Where stars above wore a gentle crown,
The winds carried whispers, a foreboding song,
And Nature’s creatures knew something was wrong.
The winds carried whispers…
The birds once cheerful, took flight in fear,
Circling skies that had turned austere.
Foxes scurried by in the broad daylight,
While owls hooted warnings deep into the night.
Cows refused their fields, their gaze forlorn,
Cats sat still, their ears upturned.
Dogs howled mournful, a chilling refrain,
Echoing sorrow in the morning rain.
Amidst this chaos, a child stood still,
Watching the world bend to an unseen will.
Eyes wide with wonder, sharp and keen,
He saw what others could not have seen.
The frogs leapt high, their croaks profound,
Pointing to cracks deep in the ground.
Ants fled their hills, a frantic parade,
Marking the path Nature’s hands had made.
The child, with courage no one could feign,
Pieced the clues amidst creatures’ disdain.
A quake was coming, fierce and grand,
The Earth would tremble beneath their land.
He cried to the elders, he cried to the crowd,
“Listen to Nature, its voice is loud!
The animals warn us, we must prepare,
Safety lies in heeding their care!”
And when the Earth roared, a furious wave,
The town was ready, their lives to save.
For the child had heard what they couldn’t hear,
The whispers of Nature, ever so clear.
So remember the lessons, both young and old,
Nature’s whispers are warnings told.
In the language of creatures, wisdom is spread,
A symphony of life we must not dread.
